Thank you for that recipe! I really try not to use chemicals on my skin if it's in any way avoidable and hate using the commercial mosquito repellants. I didn't really have much option before though but this sounds great. It's bound to smell better too.

Hubby gets munched to death by crawlies every summer... this sounds interesting, but all those ingredients sound expensive as well, and you don't make an awful lot with those measurements. Lavender oil to treat bites is definitely one i'm going to try though.

very nice article...instead of using chemicals..we surely can use this recipe although I dont know whether i'll be able to get all the ingredients mentioned...we usually also use neem tree oil to prevent bugs

I am hoping that that lovely sounding pest repellant isn't too sweet; I believe the tiny flies like to have a buzz round anything sweet-smelling.

I have yet to find an environmentally friendly repellant that actually works for me, I will keep looking, but as I react so badly to bites I will do whatever it takes to avoid being bitten.

I have to take notes on this! So far I've used to take B12 vitamins, and the smell that comes from my body keeps the mosquitos away when I plan some outdoor activity.
