The easiest way to make kids aware of their environmental choices, is to teach them how to avoid waste, by relating it to saving money.

Their appreciation for saving money, coupled with the habits that facilitate saving, have a tendency to support green lifestyles.

It is also good to start as soon as they can understand simple words and can help clean up their toys.

I know one woman who makes up little "green" fairy tales to get the messages across during bedtime readings!

I'm very happy that my nephews are very aware of pollution and recycling and using green technology. They think of vehicles powered with solar cells, and they are only 7 and 8. I believe that teaching them from a very young age, will make a big difference in the future.

Hopefully from here to a 10 to 20 years, our gas powered cars would be more obsolete than we thought in the 60s, for example... if we advance so much in computers, why not in vehicles and green technologies??

The big difference between the computer industry and the auto industry is the mind set that founded each of them.

We will see gas powered vehicles fade once the legacy of the US auto industry is dismantled, and newer auto manufacturers with business structures take are more open, replace them.
