What an extensive list of uses for lavender! Many of these I heard of before but a few I hadn't thought of! I just got some fresh lavender and oil from France and am excited about using it in some different ways!

It is an extensive list and I have already used a couple of the suggestions. Now I just need to get some more oil.

Thanks for all the wonderful possibilities for lavender! I began experimenting with essential oils instead of synthetic fragrances two winters ago. I have discovered there are a few that I don't want to be without. They are lavender, tea tree oil, eucalyptus, orange, pine and rosewood. They have so many purposes besides smelling good.

I really do enjoy a bath with lavender oil in it when I feel run down or have flu. I find it not only makes me feel less congested but I get a much better sleep too if I take the bath just before bedtime. Thanks for all the

My mother always used dried lavendar to stuff little packets she would make and put under our pillows when we were little and had trouble sleeping.

Nowadays i use a few drops of lavendar oil in a tea light burner as an airfreshner.

My granma used lavender oil for headaches...now I'll tell her so many more things she could do with it!

During winter months I suppose lavender oil is all the more useful because of its natural moisturising capabilities....
